About Lighthouse
Lighthouse Coffee, established in 2007, is dedicated to roasting exceptional coffee and educating enthusiasts about the art and science of coffee. Our mission is to inspire and influence lifestyles through a profound appreciation of coffee.
Our Journey
In 2007, we pioneered Malaysia’s first barista training workshop located at YellowHouse, Sungai Dua, laying the foundation for a culture of coffee excellence. Today, at the Lighthouse Coffee Academy, we collaborate with esteemed international associations such as the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and ASEAN Coffee Institute (ACI) to offer world recognise courses and certifications. Our academy also provides customisable workshops, including in-house professional certificate courses, corporate team-building sessions, latte art, brewing, sensory and roasting workshop.
We started a specialty café located in the Logan Heritage building on Bishop Street in George Town. Penang. The building was constructed by British lawyer James Richardson Logan in the late 19th century.
With Pioneer location, we became a popular for coffee enthusiasts, offering a variety of high-quality coffee blends and a cozy ambiance.
Community Engagement
In 2010, we proudly organised the 1st Battle Baristas Championship (BOBC) in Gurney Plaza, Penang. This grassroots competition serves as a platform for local barista to showcase their skills and prepare for national championship, encouraging creativity and pushing the boundaries of the coffee industry.
